Dr. Alex Lee was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina before moving to San Francisco, California to pursue his undergraduate education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of San Francisco where he developed a strong foundation in the biological sciences and a passion for healthcare.
He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences in Utah. Following dental school, Dr. Lee practiced general dentistry in Los Angeles, California, where he developed a strong interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery and the management of complex surgical patients.
Committed to advanced surgical training, Dr. Lee completed a General Practice Residency at Harlem Hospital Center, an affiliate of Columbia University in New York City, followed by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He subsequently matched into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he completed a year in General Surgery, 5 months of adult and pediatric anesthesia, and full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Surgical training included complex dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, management of benign and malignant pathology, anesthesia, complex facial reconstruction, facial cosmetic surgery, cleft & craniofacial surgery, conservative and open temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery.
