About the service

What are Full Mouth Implants?

For patients missing most or all of their teeth, full mouth implants offer a long-lasting, fixed solution that restores the function and appearance of your entire smile. Using techniques like All-on-4 or All-on-6, a full arch of replacement teeth is anchored securely to a small number of strategically placed implants.

This approach eliminates the discomfort and instability of traditional dentures, giving patients back the ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

About the service

Our Process

01

Book Your Consultation

Meet with our surgical team to discuss your candidacy for full-arch restoration.

02

In-Office Evaluation

A comprehensive exam and 3D imaging determine bone quality and the ideal implant plan.

03

Implant Placement

A set of implants is surgically placed to support the full arch.

04

Temporary Restoration

In many cases, a temporary set of teeth is fitted the same day.

05

Healing Period

The jawbone fuses with the implants over several months.

06

Final Restoration

A custom, long-lasting full-arch prosthesis is attached for a natural, lasting result.

Planning your treatment

Cost, Insurance & Financing

What affects the cost

Full mouth treatment is planned around your mouth, so the cost depends on whether you are treating one arch or both, how many implants are needed (four, six or more), any extractions or bone grafting, the material of your final teeth, and sedation.

After your exam and 3D CBCT scan, we review the estimated cost with you before treatment begins.

Insurance & financing

Dental insurance may cover part of full mouth treatment, such as extractions or a portion of the implants or prosthesis, although benefits vary. We verify your coverage before treatment.

Cherry and CareCredit offer monthly payment plans for the remaining balance. See insurance & financing options

After surgery

Recovery: What to Expect

01

Day of surgery

Full-arch surgery is usually done under IV sedation, so plan for a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you. Depending on your plan, you may leave with temporary teeth attached the same day.

02

The first week

Swelling and bruising usually peak around the second or third day. Follow a liquid and soft-food diet, take medications as prescribed and keep the area clean with gentle rinses.

03

Weeks 2 to 8

Gradually add soft foods as your gums heal. Avoid biting hard or crunchy foods with your temporary teeth, which are not as strong as the final set.

04

Follow-up visits

We see you regularly to check your healing and the fit of your temporary teeth.

05

Final teeth (about 3 to 6 months)

Once the implants have fused with the bone, your final, stronger set of teeth is made and attached.

FAQ

Full Mouth Implant FAQs

What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6?

Both replace a full arch of teeth with a fixed bridge supported by implants. All-on-4 uses four implants per arch and All-on-6 uses six, which can spread biting forces further when the bone allows. Your 3D scan helps determine which is right for you.

Implant-supported teeth are fixed in place, so they don’t slip, don’t cover the roof of your mouth and let you chew with more confidence. They also help preserve the jawbone that is lost when teeth are missing. Traditional dentures cost less up front but usually need relining or replacement over time.

Often, yes. Angled implant placement, bone grafting or a sinus lift can make treatment possible for many patients who were told they did not have enough bone.

Brush twice a day, clean under the bridge with a water flosser or special floss, and keep regular checkups and cleanings so the implants and gums stay healthy.

Full-arch surgery is typically done with IV sedation or general anesthesia, with monitoring throughout, so most patients remember little of the procedure.
